Dr. Khelemsky specializes in providing an exceptionally comfortable experience during your lip filler session. One option is to use topical numbing cream for approximately 30 to 45 minutes before treatment. Another option is to use a gentle injection technique, like the one preferred by Dr. Khelemsky using a fine-tipped cannula. With a cannula, needle sticks are minimized, and the fillers are evenly and gently applied across the lips.
Lip fillers also contain lidocaine, which provides instant numbing to the lips at the beginning of the treatment, greatly increasing comfort throughout the session. Any lip soreness after treatment subsides within a day or two.
